Kathmandu: Two electric microvans from the Chinese commercial vehicle brand Sunlong are set to be unveiled at the upcoming Naima Nepal Mobility Expo 2025, scheduled to begin on 5 August.

Blue Corporation Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of the Weber Group, will be launching the 12-seater U-One and 13-seater U-Two electric microvans during the event.

Both models come equipped with advanced battery technology. U-One features a 46.36 kWh battery pack, while U-Two has a slightly larger 50.23 kWh battery.

The Sunlong microvans are built with practicality in mind, featuring 15-inch wheels and a ground clearance of 180 mm, making them suitable for urban and semi-rural roads in Nepal. Key interior and functional highlights include an LCD dashboard, USB charging interface, air conditioning, pedestrian warning system, reverse parking sensors, rear-view camera, and front power windows.

On the safety front, the microvans come equipped with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), EPS (Electric Power Steering), ESC (Electronic Stability Control), brake assist, front disc and rear drum braking system, and seatbelt warning systems.

To enhance convenience for users, Blue Corporation will provide each unit with a 3.3 kW portable charger as well as a 6.6 kW wall-mounted charger. The pricing has been set at Rs. 4.47 million for the 12-seater U-One and Rs 5.51 million for the 13-seater U-Two.

These new additions mark a significant step toward electrification in Nepal’s commercial transport sector, aligning with the growing demand for sustainable mobility solutions.
