Luxury hotel nearing completion in Godawari with Rs 1.27 billion investment


Kathmandu: A high-end hotel is nearing completion in Godawari, Lalitpur, with an investment of Rs 1.27 billion (approximately US$ 9.6 million).

The project, named Godawari Forest Hotel, is being developed by Godawari Forest Hotel Pvt. Ltd., which was registered in 2016.

Construction is currently in its final stages on a 52,022 square foot site. The hotel will offer 83 rooms in total, including 3 deluxe suite rooms, 19 suite rooms, 13 deluxe twin rooms, 10 deluxe king rooms, and 38 standard deluxe rooms.

The upcoming hotel will feature a range of upscale amenities such as a restaurant, gym and health club, swimming pool, spa, and full wedding and banquet facilities.

To finance the project, the company has secured credit ratings for loans worth Rs. 870 million. This includes Rs. 820 million in long-term loans and Rs. 50 million in short-term loans.

The financing structure follows a debt-to-equity ratio of 70:30. The company has already completed all necessary procedures for the loans and has raised Rs. 325 million from its investors.

According to the company, commercial operations are expected to begin by the end of October 2025. The hotel is owned by six individuals, with Kushendra Bahadur Mahat serving as chairman.

The hotel will be managed under the Best Western Hotels & Resorts brand, operated by US-based Travality Corporation. Best Western currently manages hotels in more than 100 countries worldwide.
