Over Rs 2 billion investment pledged for luxury hotel in Nawalparasi


Kathmandu: A luxury hotel is set to be constructed in Sunwal, Nawalparasi with an investment of over Rs 2 billion. Mahamaya Crown Pvt. Ltd. has announced plans to build the hotel at a total cost of Rs 2.15 billion.

Established in December 2024, the company aims to develop the hotel on a 10-hectare land parcel. The property will feature 82 rooms, offering various levels of luxury and comfort.

The hotel will include 2 triple-bedroom units, 8 two-bedroom units, 32 standard deluxe rooms, 34 double deluxe rooms, and 6 suite deluxe rooms. The hotel will also house a restaurant, gym and health club, swimming pool, spa, and facilities for weddings and banquets.

To finance the project, the company has secured credit ratings for both long-term and short-term loans, amounting to Rs 1.28 billion. Of this, Rs 1.20 billion has been rated for long-term loans, while Rs 80 million is for short-term borrowings.

The company is using a debt-to-equity investment ratio of 59:41 to fund the hotel. Loan arrangements have already been finalized, and equity management has reached Rs 878 million by June 2025.

According to the company, construction has already achieved 82 percent financial progress.

The project is being led by Chairman Suman Pudasaini, who has previously spearheaded ventures such as Aradhana Holding & Investment, Sustainable Nature Nepal, Geeta Darpan Deep Boring Company, Parijat Agro Tourism, and Seven Lake Bhatika Resort.
