Kathmandu: A five-star hotel featuring a casino facility is set to be built in Bramhapura, Morang district.
Axis Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. has unveiled plans to construct “The Axis Hotel” in the region, marking a significant step forward for the hospitality and tourism industry in eastern Nepal.
To proceed with construction, the company has already submitted an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report to the Ministry of Forests and Environment. According to the report, the hotel will be built over an area of 4 bigha, 13 kaththa, and 19.99 dhur of land.
The total built-up area will span 7,447.07 square meters, while the combined floor area of all structures will cover 27,482.57 square metres.
The hotel complex will consist of four main buildings, comprising 215 rooms with a total capacity of 350 beds. The main building will include a basement of 1,264.28 square meters and a ground floor covering 2,001.91 square meters, which will house a restaurant, lobby, bar, kitchen, guest rooms, and office spaces.
The mezzanine floor will feature a kitchen area, while the first floor will include a meeting hall, additional lobby space, a gym, salon, and spa. The second floor will be reserved for service operations. The third and fourth floors will each have 40 guest rooms, and the fifth floor will host 35 guest rooms.
A separate banquet hall will be constructed with a ground floor area of 2,678.26 square meters. In Block B, the ground floor will house a restaurant, lobby, bar, kitchen, and office rooms, while the first floor will be designated as a service area. The second, third, and fourth floors of Block B will each accommodate 34 guest rooms.
In addition, the company will construct a standalone casino facility. The casino’s ground floor will span 1,188.24 square meters, while the first floor will cover 1,617 square meters.
The EIA report indicates that approximately 70 workers will be required during the construction phase, and the hotel will employ around 200 people once operational.
Parking will be available for 104 four-wheelers and 150 two-wheelers. The total estimated cost of the hotel is Rs 1.5 billion, and construction is expected to be completed within three years.
This development is poised to boost tourism and economic activity in the eastern region.
