Kathmandu: Anandam Snacks & Beverage International Pvt. Ltd. has signed an agreement to manufacture Haldiram’s brand snacks and beverages in Nepal, investing Rs 145.1 million.
The company has already begun commercial production since March 2025 with a total investment of Rs 1.45 billion.
The funding structure includes Rs 75 crore in loans, with the remaining amount covered through equity. For long-term and short-term financing, the company has obtained a credit rating of Rs 130 crore, including Rs 82 crore for long-term loans and Rs 48 crore for short-term loans.
Registered in 2022, Anandam Snacks secured a license to produce Haldiram’s products in Nepal, including potato chips, moong dal snacks, Punjabi tadka, nut crackers, snack lights, taka-taka noodles, cheese balls, and papads.
Haldiram’s, the Indian parent company, has been manufacturing and packaging its products in India, offering a wide range of snacks, sweets, frozen foods, biscuits, beverages, pasta, vermicelli, and macaroni.
The Nepal-based company is operated by the DV Group, with investments from Karan Pratap Sah and Vishwanath Prasad Sah. For the past two decades, the company had been importing Haldiram’s products from India under a licensed distribution agreement before shifting to local production. Currently, it has 80 dealers across Nepal.
Haldiram’s holds a 70 percent ownership stake in the Nepali venture, marking a significant step in expanding its manufacturing footprint beyond India.
