Kathmandu: Nepal Investment Mega Bank Limited (NIMB) has introduced a pioneering digital banking service in Nepal by launching the country’s first-ever ‘Instant EMI’ facility for credit card users.
This POS Machine service allows customers to instantly convert their purchases into Equated Monthly Installments (EMIs) without any separate application or processing delays, making big-ticket spending more accessible and manageable.
With the aim of enhancing customer experience through smarter and more user-friendly digital services, NIMB now offers this automatic EMI option when customers make payments via credit card at any merchant location across Nepal.
This means that any eligible purchase made using an NIMB credit card will immediately qualify for installment-based repayment, allowing cardholders to break down large expenses into smaller, affordable monthly payments.
The bank stated that the launch of the ‘Instant EMI’ facility is part of its broader mission to provide customers with greater financial flexibility while promoting the adoption of digital transactions. The service is particularly targeted at individuals purchasing household appliances, electronic gadgets, travel packages, and other high-value products or services.
According to the bank, this facility begins automatically and involves no complicated paperwork or waiting period, helping to boost consumer trust and engagement with digital banking platforms.
Currently, Nepal Investment Mega Bank Limited operates with a widespread presence across the country, offering services through 275 branches, 265 ATMs, 65 extension counters, and 60 branchless banking counters.
