Kalika Refinery records over Rs 3.4 billion in business in 10 months


Kathmandu: Kalika Refinery Pvt. Ltd. has recorded a business turnover of approximately Rs 3.41 billion in the first ten months of the previous fiscal year.

According to the company, it achieved a transaction volume of Rs 3.41 billion during this period. The company’s annual trade figures over the past few years show consistent growth: Rs 2.09 billion in 2024, Rs 2.61 billion in 2023, Rs 2.81 billion in 2022, and Rs 440 million in 2021.

Compared to the first nine months of 2024, the company’s business in the first ten months of 2025 has increased by 12 percent, reflecting steady performance.

Established in 2019, Kalika Refinery is engaged in processing and producing sunflower, soybean, and mustard oil. The company markets its edible oil under the brands Bela, Ambe, and Agro Gold.

Though founded in 2019, the company began commercial operations in June 2021. It currently operates with a production capacity of 100 metric tons of oil per day.

Owned by Dipak Prasad Sapkota, Madan Sapkota, and Kusum Kandel Sapkota, the company has also received a credit rating for both long-term and short-term loans amounting to Rs 2 billion. This includes Rs 156 million in long-term loans and Rs 1.84 billion in short-term loans.

The main driver of Kalika Refinery’s recent growth has been its export performance. Of the total turnover in the past ten months, 44 percent came from exports.

The company sources its raw materials for oil production from countries such as Argentina, Ukraine, Russia, and Brazil.
