Kathmandu: Hansraj Hulaschand & Co., the authorized distributor of Bajaj two-wheelers in Nepal, has officially launched the Bajaj Chetak 3501 electric scooter in the domestic market.
The unveiling took place on Sunday during a special event.
Chetak 3501 EV variant boasts a range of 153 kilometres on a single charge. According to the company, it takes around 4 hours to charge from 0 to 80 percent, while reaching 80 percent from a partial charge takes approximately 3 hours.
Equipped with a 3.5 kWh battery, the Chetak 3501 is priced at Rs 3,24,900. The scooter also offers a 35-litre under-seat storage capacity, enhancing its utility for everyday commuting.
Technologically advanced, the Chetak 3501 features LCD console, Music control, Hill-hold assist, Reverse light, “Guide-Me-Home” lamp, Smartphone connectivity, and Smart TFT touchscreen controls.
With IP67-certified full-metal body construction, the Chetak 3501 is designed to withstand varied weather conditions, ensuring durability and rider safety.
The scooter also supports navigation, call handling, document storage, and is available in multiple colour options, targeting users who prioritize technology, style, and environmental consciousness.
Speaking at the launch event, Abhimanyu Golchha, Director of Golchha Group, expressed optimism that Chetak will redefine the electric two-wheeler segment in Nepal.
“This model is specially crafted for today’s youth — tech-savvy, style-conscious, and environmentally aware customers. We are excited to bring premium EV mobility to Nepal,” Golchha said.
He added that the Chetak 3501 delivers an ideal blend of smart features, robust design, and eco-responsibility, making travel both safe and enjoyable.
The scooter will also be showcased at the upcoming NADA EV Expo, starting on 6 August, where consumers will have an opportunity to explore its features firsthand.
With its premium design and advanced offerings, Bajaj Chetak 3501 enters the market as a strong contender in Nepal’s growing electric mobility sector.
