Kathmandu: Sanima Bank and Patan Hospital have signed an agreement to provide financial assistance for the treatment of underprivileged women.
Under the agreement, Sanima Bank will offer financial support to Patan Hospital for one year to help women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds receive necessary medical care.
Sanima Bank has been providing financial support for such causes through Patan Hospital since 2017.
As part of its social responsibility initiative, Sanima Bank deposits Rs 1 every month into the Nari Rahat Kosh (Women’s Relief Fund) for every “Nari Savings Account” opened. The funds collected in this special account are used to assist in the treatment of underprivileged women across the country through various hospitals.
The agreement was signed during a special ceremony held on the Patan Hospital premises. Dr Ravi Shakya, Director of Patan Hospital, and Hemraj Sanjyal, Chief Deposit Officer of Sanima Bank, signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) on behalf of their respective institutions.
Sanima Bank currently operates 134 branches and 127 ATMs across all seven provinces of Nepal.
