Kathmandu: The five-star Barnabas Museum Hotel in Baluwatar recorded a turnover of only Rs 17 million in the first 11 months of the last fiscal year.
Established in 2018 and operating in a regular capacity only from 2024, the hotel managed the modest figure despite its premium facilities.
The company has yet to turn a profit, reporting negative earnings for both the previous and the last fiscal years. In 2024, the hotel had posted a turnover of Rs 9 million, operating for only five months that year. It was converted into a public company in August 2024.
The hotel offers 48 rooms along with modern amenities, including food and beverage services, a swimming pool, spa, conference hall, and other facilities, according to the company.
