Kathmandu: Minister for Health and Population, Pradip Paudel, has shared that the three-tier governments have been moving ahead to bring 55 basic hospitals into operation.
Responding to queries of lawmakers in today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, Minister Paudel said programmes have been forwarded in order to bring other basic hospitals handed over to local levels into operation.
Preparation was underway to send doctors and medical equipment to these basic hospitals, he mentioned, claiming that the obligations committed by the ministry were fulfilled on time in a procedural manner.
“Problems have surfaced in bringing some basic hospitals, which were already completed, into operation as procedural issues are still to be addressed”, opined Minister Paudel.
A basic hospital constructed at Sonari Narainapur-4 in Banke district has achieved cent percent physical progress and the hospital is yet to be handed over, the Health Minister argued that the hospital would come into operation once it is handed over.
