Liberty Micro Life Insurance reports 76.7% surge in annual income


Kathmandu: Liberty Micro Life Insurance Company posted a total income of Rs 328 million in the last fiscal year 2024/25, marking a 76.71 percent increase compared to Rs 76.3 million in fiscal year 2023/24.

According to the company’s fourth-quarter financial statement for the last fiscal year, expenses also rose significantly, reaching Rs 316.5 million compared to Rs 77.3 million in the previous year.

The company earned a net profit of Rs 11.4 million during the year, up from Rs 7.605 million in the previous fiscal period.

Net insurance premiums collected during 2024/25 stood at Rs 271.4 million, a sharp increase from Rs 28.4 million in 2023/24.

The insurer’s life insurance fund reached Rs 192.6 million by the end of the fiscal year. Reinsurance expenses also spiked, amounting to Rs 54.7 million, compared to just Rs 1.425 million a year earlier.

Earnings per share (EPS) improved from Rs 1.45 in 2023/24 to Rs 2.19 in 2024/25, reflecting the company’s stronger performance despite higher operating costs.
