Kathmandu: Kiran Paudel has been appointed as an independent director of Nepal Reinsurance Company.
The company’s board of directors meeting held on August 14 decided to appoint Paudel to the director position.
Paudel, who is also a central member of the Nepal Bar Association, will serve as independent director until the company’s next annual general meeting.
Previously, director Anita Rai Majhi Tandon had resigned from her position citing personal reasons.
Following the acceptance of Tandon’s resignation during the board meeting held on April 15, Paudel was appointed to fill the vacant position.
The appointment comes as the company prepares for its upcoming governance activities and annual general meeting.
