Kathmandu: The stock market witnessed a double-digit decline on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index dropped by 27.14 points, closing at 2,761.22.
On the previous trading day, Thursday, the index had risen by 2.62 points. However, in the three trading sessions before that, NEPSE had recorded continuous declines.
On Sunday, total transactions on NEPSE amounted to Rs 7.73 billion.
In comparison, the turnover on Thursday had reached Rs 76.34 billion. Out of the companies traded on Sunday, the share prices of 58 companies increased, while those of 191 companies declined.
