Sun Nepal Life Insurance organizes training on anti-money laundering


Kathmandu: Sun Nepal Life Insurance has organized a training program on anti-money laundering.

The company said that along with the training, it has emphasized strengthening transparency and security within the financial system.

The insurance company organized the special training with the objective of enhancing employee capacity and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The training was conducted by the company’s Head of Legal Department, Subash Bhandari. He highlighted that global challenges such as money laundering and terrorist financing could also affect the insurance sector, stressing the need to remain alert in time.

He also provided detailed training on international AML/CFT standards, directives of the Government of Nepal and the Insurance Authority, and practical procedures to be followed in day-to-day operations.

The programme was attended by branch managers from Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces, along with the company’s Chief Marketing Officer, Ganesh Chaulagai, and other officials.

Sun Nepal Life Insurance currently operates life insurance services through 143 branches across the country.
