Pranav Food Processing Industries records nearly Rs 370 million in trade in first year of operations


Kathmandu: Pranav Food Processing Industries Pvt. Ltd. has reported a trade volume of nearly Rs 370 million during the first eight and a half months of its operation in the last fiscal year.

The company, which officially began commercial operations in October 2024, achieved a total trade of Rs 367 million during the period, posting a net profit margin of 1.76 percent in its inaugural year.

Established in 2019, the industry is based in Chitwan and primarily focuses on rice processing and distribution. Its products are marketed under four brands: Panyu, Samunnati, Hemant, and Paresh.

To support its operations, the company has secured credit ratings amounting to Rs 599 million — Rs 179.6 million in long-term loans and Rs 420.3 million in short-term loans.

Pranav Food Processing sources raw materials, particularly paddy, directly from local farmers, strengthening its supply chain and supporting agricultural livelihoods.

The company is chaired by Pashupati Burlakoti, who has prior experience in both manufacturing and the power sector. Burlakoti is also engaged in fuel retailing and LPG gas distribution.
