Bailey bridge installed over Puwa Stream inaugurated

Fikkal (Ilam): A bailey bridge installed over the Puwa Khola (stream) along the Kechana-Kanchenjunga (Mechi Corridor) has been inaugurated.

Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Debendra Dahal, inaugurated the newly developed infrastructure amidst a programme here today.

The project costs Rs 13.5 million, according to Road Division Office’s engineer Arjun Ghimire. The total length of the bridge is 48.6 metres.

With this, the Kechana-Kanchenjunga road has been readied as an alternative to the Mechi Highway.
