Kathmandu: Nabil Bank Limited, one of Nepal’s leading financial institutions, has been honoured with the “Euromoney Award for Excellence 2025: Best Bank for Sustainable Finance”, a prestigious international recognition in the banking sector.
The award, established by Euromoney Magazine, is given to institutions that demonstrate global standards of excellence. Nabil Bank was recognized for its consistent commitment to sustainable banking practices, use of technology, customer-centric services, and initiatives promoting environmental and social responsibility.
According to the bank, its efforts to integrate Nepal’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into its operations over the past five years played a key role in securing the award. Nabil has adopted environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, focusing on reducing its carbon footprint, promoting responsible banking, advancing financial literacy, protecting human rights, and ensuring ethical governance.
Euromoney stated that the award was based on a rigorous study and analysis of banking practices. This is not Nabil’s first recognition by Euromoney—it has previously received awards in 2010, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2024 across different categories.
With over four decades of service, Nabil Bank has been a pioneer in introducing modern banking in Nepal. Today, it serves more than 2.5 million customers through 268 branches and 321 ATMs nationwide, continuing to play a defining role in shaping the country’s financial landscape.
