Kathmandu: Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank has announced plans to purchase property within Kathmandu’s Ring Road to establish its own corporate office.
According to the bank, it is looking for land and buildings covering at least 30,000 square feet with adequate parking space, spread over two to four ropanis (0.25 acres to 0.50 acres) of land.
The search is focused on 15 key locations inside the Ring Road, including Maharajgunj, Baluwatar, Naxal, Lazimpat, Kamalpokhari, Bishalnagar, Anamnagar, New Baneshwor, Durbar Marg, Putalisadak, Kamaladi, Nagpokhari, Gairidhara, and Gyaneshwor.
Mahalaxmi Bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Dipesh Lamsal, told Clickmandu that if such property is available in these areas, the bank is ready to invest between Rs 350 million and Rs 400 million.
“We want to establish our corporate office in a property owned by the bank itself,” CEO Lamsal said. The bank’s current head office is being operated from a rented building in Durbar Marg.
As per the bank’s public notice issued on Tuesday, those willing to sell property must submit their applications by 10 September 2025 along with a non-refundable deposit of Rs 1,000 and its voucher.
