Doctors and equipments to be mobilized to control cholera in Birgunj: PM Oli


Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli asserted that doctors and health equipment of all four security agencies including the Nepali Army will be mobilized to prevent and control cholera epidemic in Birgunj, Parsa.

Addressing the House of Representatives’ meeting today, PM Oli expressed his confidence that the outbreak of cholera would be contained as, he informed, today’s cabinet meeting had made a decision on this regard.

Expressing sorrow over the demise of three people due to cholera epidemic, the Head of the Government shared that the government was making utmost effort to control the epidemic.

According to him, investigation was underway to identify the source of the infection.

PM Oli further mentioned that arrangements have been made to sensitize public about the diarrheal infection and for the treatment of cholera patients.

He also appraised the parliament that cholera patients were being treated for free of cost in Narayani Hospital as well as other private hospitals in Parsa district.
