Nepse Index declines sharply on Sunday, drops by 31.17 points


Kathmandu: The stock market witnessed a sharp decline.

On the first trading day of the week, Sunday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index dropped by 31.17 points, settling at 2,749.83 points.

Last Thursday, the Nepse had also declined by 38.10 points, closing at 2,781 points.

On Sunday, the total transaction value stood at Rs. 6.06 billion.

In comparison, Thursday’s trading had amounted to Rs. 7.97 billion.

Among the companies traded on Sunday, the share prices of 21 companies increased, 228 declined, while one company’s share price remained unchanged.
