Darchula: Telephone service has been disrupted at Tinkar village of Darchula district for the past three weeks.
The 2G service of the Nepal Telecom was launched at Tinkar village. The telephone service was obstructed after lightning damaged the telephone tower on August 13. A local Astik Tinkari said they have been facing problem in communication due to disruption of the telephone service.
The village has also V-SAT phone but it is not working properly due to incessant rainfall, he added. There is a settlement of 70 families at Tinkar of Vyas rural municipality-1. The families here have returned to the village from Khalanga in May and would again go back to Khalanga in November, said Secretary of Vyas-1, Binod Singh Budhathoki.
Chief of Nepal Telecom Darchula, Krishna Bahadur Gurung, shared that problem might have surfaced in a software connected at tower of Tinkar.
