CityPay digital wallet officially integrated into Fonepay network in Nepal


Lalitpur: CityPay, a leading digital wallet in Nepal, has officially been integrated into the Fonepay payment system, becoming the latest wallet to join the country’s largest interoperable digital payment network.

With this integration, CityPay users can now make seamless, secure, and instant payments at more than 1.7 million merchant outlets nationwide through Fonepay’s interoperable QR network, the company announced.

Fonepay currently connects over 60 banks and financial institutions, with its network of digital wallet partners steadily growing. The system enables millions of users to participate in cashless transactions, advancing financial inclusion across the country.

Fonepay CEO, Diwas Kumar, stated, “Welcoming CityPay into our ecosystem is a significant milestone. Every new integration strengthens and expands our network. Our goal is not just to connect wallets and banks but to ensure that every individual and business has reliable access to digital payment services.”

To mark the partnership, CityPay has launched a special festival campaign running from September 2 to November 2. During this period, all QR-based transactions made via the platform will automatically qualify for a lucky draw. Two winners each month will receive Samsung-brand televisions.

Additionally, every QR transaction above Rs 500 will earn 20 reward points, redeemable for cash or goods.
