Kathmandu: Rising prices in the international bullion market have directly impacted the local market in Nepal, with both gold and silver recording gains.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold increased by Rs 1,600 per tola (11.66 grams) on Monday. Gold, which was traded at Rs 210,400 per tola last Friday, now stands at Rs 212,000 per tola.
Silver has also edged higher, climbing Rs 10 per tola. It is currently being traded at Rs 2,500 per tola in the domestic market.
Just last Wednesday, gold was priced at Rs 207,900 per tola, while silver stood at Rs 2,480 per tola.
