Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank announces 15.79% dividend, first among development banks this year


Kathmandu: Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank has announced a total dividend of 15.7895 percent for its shareholders, comprising 10 percent bonus shares and 5.795 percent cash dividend (including tax).

The decision was made during the Board of Directors’ meeting held on Sunday at 4 PM. The dividend will be distributed from the bank’s profit for fiscal year 2081/82 (2024/25) as well as accumulated profits from previous years, according to Chief Executive Officer Dinesh Thakali.

Under the proposed allocation, shareholders will receive 10 percent bonus shares based on current paid-up capital, along with 5.795 percent cash dividend, which includes tax obligations.

The proposed dividend will be distributed after approval from Nepal Rastra Bank and endorsement by the bank’s upcoming 19th Annual General Meeting (AGM).

With this declaration, Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank has become the first development bank in Nepal to announce dividends this year. Last year, the bank had distributed a 12 percent dividend.
