Kathmandu: The escalating Gen Z Movement protests in Kathmandu took a new turn on Monday when demonstrators set fire to a vehicle belonging to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).
The incident occurred in the afternoon outside Everest Hospital in New Baneshwar, a flashpoint of ongoing clashes between protesters and security forces.
According to police, the protesters torched an NHRC vehicle bearing the license plate Bagmati BaYB 8293.
The act of arson underscores the deteriorating situation in the capital, where protests over governance, accountability, and corruption have intensified despite curfews and police crackdowns.
