Gen Z protester shot and injured in PM Oli’s hometown of Damak


Jhapa: A young man was seriously injured on Monday after being shot by police in Damak, the hometown of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, during ongoing Gen Z Movement protests.

The 26-year-old, who was struck in the left leg, was initially taken to a local hospital but later referred to B&C Hospital in Birtamode due to the severity of his condition.

According to police, officers opened fire after demonstrators attempted to seize control of the Damak Municipality Office.

The Gen Z Movement has staged demonstrations across multiple cities today, protesting against government corruption and the nationwide shutdown of social media platforms.
