Kathmandu: The headquarters of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s party, the Communist Party of Nepal–Unified Marxist Leninist (CPN-UML), was set on fire on Tuesday after demonstrators stormed the compound.
Protesters had earlier burned tires in front of the party office before entering the premises.
The incident follows the deaths of 19 people during demonstrations organized by the Gen-Z movement on Monday, which has triggered a wave of nationwide protests.
In Kathmandu’s Chyasal, the protesters set the CPN-UML headquarters ablaze as anger intensified.
Protests have spread across the country, with political party offices in multiple districts being vandalized amid the escalating unrest.
