Kathmandu: Demonstrators hurled stones at the residence of former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ who also serves as the chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre).
Following the violent turn of Monday’s Gen-Z-led protests, anger spilled over into a second day on Tuesday.
Despite a government-imposed curfew, demonstrators grew increasingly aggressive, targeting the homes and residences of political leaders.
In this wave of unrest, protesters vandalized Prachanda’s residence in Khumaltar. Before reaching his home, they also attacked and damaged a nearby police post guarding the area.
