Protesters storm and set fire to parliament building in Kathmandu

Kathmandu: The Parliament building in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, has been set ablaze after protesters forced their way inside on Tuesday.

Demonstrators, who had been rallying outside the complex since the morning, broke into the building and carried out arson and vandalism as the Gen Z movement reached its peak following Monday’s deadly protests.

The incident comes amid a wider wave of unrest, with protesters across the country attacking and torching political party offices as well as the private residences of top leaders.
