Kathmandu: The Directorate of Public Relations and Information of the Nepal Army has called on citizens to stay alert and cooperative in maintaining peace, security, and public order across the country.
It stressed that the Army, along with other security agencies, has been deployed round-the-clock to prevent unwanted incidents in society.
In its public notice issued today, the Directorate urged local communities to remain united, exchange information promptly, and ensure safety in their neighbourhoods until security forces arrive.
Amid growing challenges and reports of looting, arson, and violent activities by unruly groups, the Army requested citizens to immediately report any destructive or anarchic incidents in their communities by sending a message to 9863029029.
The notice also warned that some elements have been spreading misleading information on social media, exaggerating the situation, and attempting to create fear. Citizens were urged to counter such activities by sharing only accurate and verified information from their respective areas.
