Sushila Karki to be sworn in as Prime Minister tonight


Kathmandu: Former Chief Justice Sushila Karki will be sworn in as Nepal’s new prime minister at 9 pm tonight, presidential press adviser Kiran Pokhrel confirmed.

President Ram Chandra Paudel is set to formally appoint Karki and administer the oath of office in a ceremony at the presidential palace.

Immediately after Karki’s appointment, the president will dissolve parliament on her recommendation, marking a dramatic turning point in Nepal’s ongoing political crisis.
