Kathmandu: Gold and silver prices in the Nepali market set new records today.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold rose by Rs 700 per tola, reaching Rs 217,800. Yesterday, gold had been priced at Rs 217,100 per tola.
Last Friday, gold had increased by Rs 800 per tola, hitting Rs 216,000. On September 16, the price climbed to Rs 217,100 per tola before dipping slightly. Today, however, gold reached the highest level in history.
Similarly, silver also hit a new record. Its price rose by Rs 30 per tola today, reaching Rs 2,650, the highest ever recorded.
