Nepal Cricket Team secures T20 World Cup spot, players to receive Rs 1.95 million each if they win trophy

Kathmandu: The Nepali national cricket team is currently competing in the ICC T20 World Cup Asia and East Asia-Pacific Qualifiers.

After an outstanding performance, Nepal has already secured its place in the upcoming World Cup. The team will now play the final match to claim the tournament trophy.

If Nepal wins the title, each player will receive a cash reward of Rs 1.95 million. To lift the trophy, Nepal must defeat Samoa in the final.

If Nepal fails to beat Samoa, the team’s fate will depend on the outcome of the Oman match. Players will still receive Rs 1.3 million each if Nepal finishes as runners-up.

Member Secretary of the National Sports Council, Tanka Lal Ghising, said he is confident that the Nepali team will bring home the trophy. He also mentioned that the prize money has already been set aside for the players.

“I am confident Nepal will win the trophy. A reward of Rs 1.95 million per player is waiting for you,” Ghising told the team.
