Shangrila Development Bank brings warmth to Ilam landslide victims

Kathmandu: Shangrila Development Bank has distributed warm clothing to families affected by devastating floods and landslides in Ilam district, providing timely relief as winter sets in.

On 1 December, the bank handed over the donations during separate ceremonies in Suryodaya Municipality and Ilam Municipality. Arpana Bajracharya, Head of Marketing at Shangrila Development Bank, formally presented the items to Suryodaya Mayor Ran Bahadur Rai and Ilam Mayor Kedar Thapa.

In Suryodaya Municipality, the bank provided 350 brand-new jackets along with seven large sacks of warm clothing collected from generous donors. In Ilam Municipality, 175 new jackets and five sacks of donated winter clothes were distributed to affected households.

The initiative was launched as part of the bank’s anniversary celebrations, fulfilling an earlier commitment to support communities hit hard by the disasters in eastern Nepal.

Shangrila Development Bank currently operates 109 branches and 30 ATMs across the country, and continues to combine financial services with meaningful community support programmes.
