Akshay Golyan and Golyan Group pledge long-term support Gen-Z protest martyrs

Kathmandu – Akshay Golyan, Managing Director of the Golyan Group, has made a heartfelt public commitment to provide sustained educational and emotional support to the children who lost parents during Nepal’s recent “Gen-Z” protests.

In a moving video message posted on LinkedIn, Golyan announced that the Group is stepping forward to help these children fulfil their dreams through comprehensive schooling assistance. “We are here not just for today, but for the long journey ahead,” he said.

The Golyan Group has already committed to covering full education costs for 32 children of the martyrs, offering scholarships worth up to Rs 480,000 per child per year (up to Rs 40,000 monthly) until they complete Grade 12. Tripartite agreements are being signed between the Group, schools, and guardians to ensure transparency and continuity.

On the occasion of World Children’s Day, the Group organised a joyful “Kids’ Play Date” for these children, giving them a day filled with games, laughter, and companionship. Sharing clips of the children playing and smiling, Golyan wrote: “Beyond formal programs, I wanted to do something more human. So we created a space for them to simply be children again.”

He emphasised that the initiative goes beyond financial aid: “We will continue showing up through small moments, real actions, and sincere commitment.”
