Samata Gharelu Laghubitta announces 5 percent dividend for shareholders

Kathmandu: Samata Gharelu Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited, a prominent microfinance institution in Nepal focused on serving underserved communities, has declared a total dividend of 5.2632 percent on its current paid-up capital from the profits of the previous fiscal year.

The distribution includes 5 percent in bonus shares to capitalize earnings and a modest 0.2632 percent cash dividend primarily to cover tax obligations for shareholders.

The board of directors approved this proposal during a meeting held in late November. As with similar institutions, the dividend awaits regulatory approval from the Nepal Rastra Bank and endorsement at the upcoming annual general meeting before it can be distributed.
