Kathmandu: The Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) has announced a 13 percent dividend for its shareholders.
A meeting of the Trust’s Board of Directors held on Sunday, December 21, approved a proposal to distribute dividends based on the income and profit distribution statement for the fiscal year 2024/25. Under the proposal, shareholders will receive a 5 percent bonus share.
In addition, the Trust has proposed an 8 percent cash dividend to cover tax liabilities on the bonus shares, taking the total dividend distribution to 13 percent.
The proposed dividend will be distributed to shareholders after receiving approval from the Ministry of Finance on behalf of the Government of Nepal and endorsement by the Trust’s upcoming annual general meeting.
