CG Motors launches Nepal’s first multi-brand EV Mega Sales Carnival

Kathmandu: CG Motors has kicked off what it calls Nepal’s first-ever “Mega Sales and Exchange Carnival” bringing together seven international electric vehicle brands under one roof, marking a new milestone for the country’s automobile market.

The four-day event, running from 29 January to 1 February at Alice Reception in Gairidhara, Kathmandu, is designed to offer one of the biggest EV buying opportunities of the year while promoting sustainable mobility.

The company, which has positioned itself as a key player in advancing eco-friendly transport in Nepal, says the carnival is built around aggressive purchase incentives and an engaging, family-friendly environment. Visitors can explore, exchange and test drive a wide range of electric models from global brands including Smart, Xpeng, Aion, Riddara, King Long, Aion Yinuo (Ayunuo) and Neta, all showcased in a single venue. The event runs daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

One of the headline attractions is the first-time public showcase of CG Motors’ premium brand Smart, with exclusive test drive access. The Smart EV brand is the result of a strategic collaboration between Geely and Mercedes-Benz, combining advanced technology, premium design and performance-oriented electric mobility.

To make EV ownership more accessible, CG Motors is offering cash discounts of up to NPR 1 million, competitive valuations for old vehicle exchanges through authorized partners, additional exchange bonuses, and on-the-spot financing approvals in coordination with multiple banks. Buyers also receive a year of AutoPlus insurance coverage, free road tax for the current fiscal year and a complimentary EV charger.

Beyond vehicle sales, the carnival has been designed as a lifestyle event. Visitors can take part in lucky draws, receive gifts with every test drive, and enjoy a game zone for children along with food experiences, creating a community-focused atmosphere rather than a standard showroom promotion.

As Nepal accelerates its shift toward cleaner transportation, CG Motors says it aims to strengthen its market leadership by pairing global EV brands with strong after-sales service and customer-centric solutions, helping drive wider adoption of electric mobility across the country.
