Nepal Telecom launches special anniversary data and combo offers

Kathmandu: Marking its 22nd anniversary, Nepal Telecom has rolled out a series of promotional packages, headlined by a 22 GB data bundle priced at NPR 222, valid for 22 days. The offer is available to both prepaid and postpaid GSM users, making it one of the operator’s most affordable short-term data deals.

The state-owned telecom provider unveiled the anniversary schemes as part of celebrations on Wednesday, saying the limited-time packages combine data, voice, and SMS services at discounted rates. According to the company, the offers will be available from Magh 22 to Magh 28 on the Nepali calendar (late January to early February).

Under the main “Double Two” package, customers receive 22 GB of data with a 22-day validity for NPR 222, inclusive of taxes. Nepal Telecom noted that for postpaid users, the package also covers the regular rental charge.

Another option, branded as the “Daily Two” pack, provides 2 GB of data for one day at just Rs 22. Meanwhile, the “Celebration Combo Pack” includes 222 minutes of voice calls to any network, 4 GB of data, and 222 SMS messages, all valid for 22 days at a price of Rs 222. This combo is also applicable to postpaid subscribers with rental included.

In addition to service bundles, Nepal Telecom has announced special discounts for new customers. The price of a prepaid SIM card, normally Rs 90, has been reduced to Rs 22. This offer will be available exclusively through Nepal Telecom offices from Magh 22 to Falgun 14. Furthermore, the standard NPR 500 service activation fee for new connections has been fully waived, although the waiver does not apply to the FTTH student offer.

The company also confirmed that its ongoing FTTH student promotion will continue through Falgun 22, extending benefits for student broadband users alongside the anniversary campaign.
