Norvic International Hospital reports strong mid-year growth, plans major capacity expansion


Kathmandu: Norvic International Hospital and Medical College has recorded business turnover of Rs 1.338 billion in the first six months of the current fiscal year, marking a solid 20 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

The hospital had posted total revenue of Rs 2.22 billion in the previous fiscal year. Its annual turnover stood at Rs 1.999 billion in 2024, Rs 1.911 billion in 2023, and Rs 1.785 billion in 2022, reflecting steady growth in recent years. Established in 1993, the hospital was converted into a public company in 2021.

Located in Thapathali, Kathmandu, the hospital was originally licensed to operate with a 200-bed capacity. It currently provides a wide range of healthcare services and is undertaking a major expansion plan to increase its capacity from 116 additional beds to a total of 275 beds.

Construction of 159 new beds is currently underway, with around 50 percent of the physical progress completed. The hospital aims to bring the expanded facilities into full commercial operation by the end of the current fiscal year. To finance the expansion, it is maintaining a 65:35 debt-to-equity investment structure.

The hospital is owned by Nepali industrialist Basanta Kumar Chaudhary. Megha Chaudhary serves as Managing Director and also holds a stake in the company, while Rajendra Bahadur Singh chairs the hospital’s board.
