Kathmandu: Global IME Bank has announced a special scheme offering a 50 percent discount on service charges for international online payments related to educational purposes. The initiative is aimed at supporting Nepali students who need to make payments abroad for expenses such as tuition fees, visa charges, online examination fees, insurance, and other academic services.
Under the scheme, students will receive a 50 percent reduction in service fees when paying for internationally recognized exams and academic requirements, including IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, GMAT, PTE, ACT, ACCA, USMLE, college application and tuition fees, visa fees, and insurance premiums. The discount will remain valid until July 31, 2026.
The bank has rolled out the service through 117 of its branches across Nepal, prioritizing customer convenience. Details about eligible branches and the terms of the offer are available on the bank’s official website.
Global IME Bank has been recognized internationally, winning Nepal’s Best Bank award at the Global Finance Best Bank Awards 2024 as well as honors at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2024. The bank has also received multiple accolades from national and international institutions in various categories.
It is the first private-sector commercial bank in Nepal to establish a branch network across all 77 districts.
