Kathmandu: Ambe Cement posted revenue of 1.289 billion Nepali rupees in the last fiscal year, marking a sharp recovery from the previous two years and returning close to its 2022 performance level. The company had generated Rs 156 million in 2024 and Rs 577 million in 2023, compared with Rs 1.36 billion in 2022. The latest figures suggest a strong rebound driven by higher capacity utilization and improved pricing.
Despite the revenue growth, the company reported a net loss of Rs 29 million in the last fiscal year, narrowing from a net loss of Rs 93 million in 2024. While accumulated losses stood at Rs 108 million in 2024, the company’s overall cash position turned positive, with total cash reserves reaching Rs 23 million in the most recent fiscal year.
Established in 2004, Ambe Cement produces clinker and grinding cement, with a daily grinding capacity of 1,000 metric tons. The company manufactures PPC, OPC, and PSC cement under 10 different brands, supplying Nepal’s construction sector. Operated by the Ambe Group of Companies and chaired by Shobhakar Neupane, the company has secured a credit rating of Rs 657.5 million for short-term borrowing, reflecting its ongoing working capital needs as it stabilizes operations.
