Sujal Dairy records Rs 1.51 billion revenue in 6 months as sales continue upward trend


Kathmandu: Sujal Dairy Pvt. Ltd., part of the Laxmi Group, has reported revenue of Rs 1.516 billion in the first six months of the current fiscal year, reflecting continued growth in Nepal’s dairy sector.

The company posted total revenue of Rs 2.883 billion in the previous fiscal year. Its sales have shown a steady upward trajectory in recent years, reaching Rs 2.331 billion in 2024, Rs 1.869 billion in 2023, Rs 1.716 billion in 2022, and Rs 1.214 billion in 2021. According to the company, revenue grew by around 25 percent in both 2024 and 2025, underscoring sustained expansion.

Established in 2005, Sujal Dairy produces and markets a wide range of dairy products including standard milk, whole milk, yogurt, ice cream, skimmed milk powder, butter, ghee, paneer, and whole milk powder. Its products are sold under the “Safal” and “Lovebird” brands.

The company is chaired by Ganesh Bahadur Shrestha, who holds an 18 percent stake alongside Sunil Shrestha, Anjan Shrestha, Nirajan Shrestha, and Nirakar Shrestha, each owning 18 percent. The remaining 10 percent is held by M/S Sujal Food Pvt. Ltd.

Sujal Dairy has secured a credit rating totaling Rs 956.1 million for both long-term and short-term borrowings, including Rs 606.6 million for long-term loans and Rs 349.5 million for short-term facilities.
