Kathmandu: Vice-Chairman of the CPN UML and former finance minister, Bishnu Prasad Paudel, has appealed to party rank and file to restructure party policy, leadership, organization and work style as per people’s expectation.
After facing sheer defeat in the House of Representatives election from Rupandehi constituency no 2, Vice-Chairman Paudel issued a statement and urged the party for serious review of past weaknesses and reform from within that suits public aspiration.
“People’s mandate is the beauty of democracy. I happily accept the verdict given by the voters in my constituency,” he said, extending best wishes to the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate who defeated him in the election. Paudel also hoped the RSP candidate winning the election would work for Rupandehi’s journey for development and prosperity.
“I honour all voters who cast ballots to UML, Nepali Congress, RSP, Nepali Communist Party and others,” he mentioned.
