Kathmandu: Himalayan Life Insurance Limited has introduced a new digital system that allows its agency managers to submit insurance proposals online through the company’s internal software platform. The move aims to make the process more convenient by enabling managers to submit proposals directly from their homes or offices.
Through the agency portal integrated into the company’s software system, agency managers can now upload insurance proposals for approval. Once the required documents and details are submitted through the portal, the company will conduct the underwriting process online. If all necessary requirements are met, the insurance proposal will then be approved through the digital system.
The new facility eliminates the need for agency managers to visit the company’s office to process proposals. Instead, they can complete the entire process remotely, either from their own offices or from home, making the system faster and more efficient.
Chief Executive Officer Kapil Kumar Dahal said the initiative was introduced with the intention of gradually involving agency managers more closely in the underwriting process. Access to the system will be granted to agency managers who meet specific eligibility criteria set by the company.
The agency portal also allows managers to view various business-related reports and performance data. The company said it plans to further expand such digital services in the future as part of its broader effort to make its operations more technology-friendly and efficient.
