Kathmandu: Megha Chaudhary, Co-Chair of BLC Global Holdings Pvt. Ltd., has been appointed as the Honorary Consul General of the Kingdom of Morocco for Nepal.
His Excellency Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates of the Kingdom of Morocco, sent the letter of approval for Chaudhary’s appointment through Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Chaudhary formally assumed office on Wednesday after receiving her letter of appointment from Nepal’s Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai. The consular jurisdiction of the newly appointed Consul General has been designated for the Kathmandu Valley.
Upon receiving the appointment letter, Chaudhary expressed her commitment to playing an active role in further strengthening and deepening the diplomatic and economic relations between Nepal and Morocco.
Her appointment is expected to add new momentum to bilateral cooperation between the two countries, particularly in trade, tourism and cultural exchange.
