Kathmandu: The helicopter operated by Mustang Air that had gone out of contact since Friday afternoon has been found safe in the Lapcha area of Dolakha District.
Managing Director Ronan Lamichhane confirmed that the aircraft was located without any damage or reported casualties. “Our helicopter has been found safe in Lapcha, Dolakha,” he said.
The helicopter had earlier lost communication while flying over the Langtang region, prompting concern and search efforts. Authorities had mobilized teams, including support from the Nepal Army, to locate the aircraft in the remote mountainous terrain.
Further details about the circumstances leading to the communication loss are yet to be disclosed, but the safe recovery brings relief after hours of uncertainty.
