FNCCI welcomes government’s 100-point reform agenda, sees boost to investment and growth

Kathmandu: Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry President Chandra Prasad Dhakal has welcomed the government’s newly approved 100-point governance reform agenda, calling it a positive step toward strengthening the country’s economic foundation.

He said the reform plan lays the groundwork for a more results-oriented, transparent, and accountable governance system. According to him, it is expected to foster an investment-friendly environment through stronger collaboration with the private sector, while also contributing to job creation and increased revenue—key drivers for accelerating economic growth and national prosperity. Dhakal noted that the agenda provides a meaningful pathway to move the country forward on a trajectory of sustainable development.

He also highlighted that the inclusion of measures such as digitizing public service delivery, making services more accessible and time-bound, advancing administrative reforms, curbing corruption, and protecting and promoting the private sector and entrepreneurship are particularly encouraging. He added that it is reassuring to see many of the private sector’s long-standing concerns reflected in the reform plan.

Dhakal reiterated that the business community fully supports the reform agenda and believes its effective implementation will significantly contribute to economic recovery, employment generation, and long-term sustainable growth. He emphasized that strong coordination and partnership between the government and the private sector will be crucial to ensuring the success of these reforms, and affirmed the federation’s full commitment to that collaboration.
