Gandaki Province Assembly passes Public Health Bill


Gandaki, April 1: The Gandaki Province Assembly passed the Public Health Bill unanimously. The Assembly meeting held on Tuesday passed the bill.

The bill, along with a report of social development and agriculture committee under the Assembly was presented in NA meeting. Earlier, it was sent to the committee for clause-wise discussion on April 4, 2025.

Province Assembly members, including Dil Maya Pauwi, Kusum Budha Pun and Debaka Pahad Tripathi, took part in the deliberation on the bill.

Minister for Health Krishna Prasad Pathak had presented the bill in the assembly meeting.

In the meeting, Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pande admitted that they could not bring a new bill during the winter session due to a lack of time. He pledged the provincial government was committed to good governance, transparency, corruption control and frugality.
